THE SENSE ARCHIVE
A workshop with Shannon Alonzo
At Haverford College, artist Shannon Alonzo led a hands-on workshop hosted by The Sense Archive, guiding participants through a process of creating and letting go. Using charcoal, they made marks—bold, delicate, messy, intentional—before washing them away, exploring the connection between movement, memory, and impermanence. It was less about the final product and more about feeling through the process, embracing change, and noticing the textures left behind.
My focus was on capturing these small moments: the dust on fingertips, the shifting patterns of light on the paper, and the quiet concentration in the room. Each image tells the story of hands in motion, ideas taking shape, and the beauty of marks that were never meant to stay.
If you're looking for a photographer to capture the unique process of your creative event—whether it's a workshop, performance, or any hands-on experience—let's connect. I'd love to document the moments that make your event special and share the beauty of your process through my lens.
